This one-of-a-kind cocktail bar is our baby. East Bay Spice Company was our very first Bay Area project and it's one that we're still heavily involved with as operating partners. We oversee all aspects of this venue's front of house operations and programming, with continuous design upgrades and ever changing bespoke cocktail menus. There's nowhere quite like Drake's Dealership in Uptown Oakland! This massive indoor and outdoor beer hall and garden is housed in a former Dodge car dealership and has won dozens of awards. Drake's Dealership is one of the highest grossing independent food & beverage venues in the entire East Bay, and they've established a very loyal following of craft beer and wood fired pizza enthusiasts. We were honored when Drake's ownership asked us to assist their design team, and they continue to be one of our best partners and clients. This is one special venue! Drake's at The Barn was our second project with the team at Drake's Brewing out of San Leandro. This venue is massive to say the least. The main building is as much of an architectural sculpture as it is a brick & mortar food and beverage venue, and the outdoor beer garden area expands over a few acres. During the spring, summer and autumn Drake's at The Barn is the go-to venue in the Sacramento metro area for craft beer and wood fired pizza. Grab a lawn chair and post up by one of the many fire pits, or head over to The Barn for a live music experience on one of the many nights this venue offers live entertainment.

Gio's Pizza & Bocce was one of our favorite concept and interior designs. This venue had it all: a massive open floor plan with a dramatic open ceiling, an indoor faux grass bocce ball court, a transportive reclaimed mural that dated back to the 1970s, a secret private dining room hidden behind a pocket door made from Scicilian olive oil cans and a one-of-a-kind vermouth and amaro focused cocktail bar. The location of this venue was its achilles heel, unfortunately, so GIO's is no longer in operation, but we will always remember this project fondly for having an amazing design and concept that could've been truly special in a more appropriate location.

This award winning North Berkeley venue is a great time out for families and craft beer enthusiasts. The beer garden boasts verdant landscaping with traditional Bavarian beer garden tables. The kids play area in back allows parents to relax while the fire pit is a popular attraction for adults to enjoy craft beers from some of the East Bay's finest independent breweries. If it's a nice sunny day, Westbrae Biergarten is almost always a good call. Don't forget to order a traditional oktoberfest style 1L stein!

This was a really fun and unique project. The co-founders of this hi-fi vinyl record bar didn't have bar and restaurant industry experience, but they had plenty of style and intelligence, and an amazing vision. We just helped them stay on course and make their dream come to fruition. They deserve all the credit for the amazing venue Bar Shiru has become! Please check them out if you're in Uptown Oakland, there's no other bar experience quite like Shiru.

It was an honor to work with the amazing team at Zachary's on their Oakland location! This savvy restaurant co-op inherited a full liquor license so they hired our team to design a new cocktail bar with a long draw glycol system, frozen cocktails and house kegged cocktail program for expedited service and quality control.

We had a lot of fun helping the team at Shinmai design their bar and get their amazing Japanese Izakaya restaurant launched. This venue was jamming the day we opened! The bar has a sleek design and a simple but creative beverage program that harmonizes with the amazing food coming out of the kitchen. The team that runs this award winning venue knows what they're doing, and they do it well. The ramen is the star of the show at Shinmai and we aren't afraid to say that their Tonkatsu recipe is one of the very best in the entire Bay Area!

We designed and managed this award winning full service restaurant and bar in Berkeley's North Shattuck culinary district. We designed and curated everything from the physical design to the name, brand and logo. Tigerly was recently sold to new owners who are continuing the legacy of this very unique Indo-Asian California Cuisine restaurant and cocktail bar. We recommend their Tikka Masala Fried Chicken & Waffles which has won multiple awards and has a cult like following!

Doc's Refresher was one of our first bar rescue style projects. We were hired to help save a failing brand and business that was losing money monthly, and was in jeopardy of closing. We worked with ownership to create an entirely new brand and customer experience. It took us a few months but we, along with the sole proprietor, successfully rebranded this venue and helped amortize all debts to achieve solvency. Doc's is now a profitable local bar and grill with nothing but upward potential.

Spats was another bar rescue style project where we were hired to help stop financial losses, and figure out how to make this brand and large venue profitable. This one took some time, but by designing and building a second bar, adding a game room, outsourcing the kitchen to a 3rd party operator, and hiring and training new staff, we were able to get this venue into the black. If you're ever in downtown Berkeley and are looking to let loose with dancing, live music and cheap drinks, Spats is your spot!

This small taproom was owned and operated by Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. We oversaw every aspect of this project from finding the real estate, negotiating the lease and managing the design + build phase. This venue closed due to COVID 19 lockdowns, unfortunately.
